Riccardo Gioggi was born in Rome in 1983.
He starter playing in 1994,attending Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio,studying classical guitar with Sylvie Genovese.In the same period he began playng electric guitar.Throughout the years he worked with several bands and artists,and in 2000 he entered the recording studio for the first time.,with the pop-rock band Magnolia.In the next years he kept on studying guitar techniques,music theory,styles and compositions of his favourite guitarists and bands,and writing music;music wich will wnd up in his first solo record “Scent”,recorded between 2003 and 2004 at Hombre Lobo Studios in Rome.
Right after that he began teaching guitar,work wich he still does.
In the same year he joined Aurion,progressive metal band wich previously released the cd’s “Tower’s Tale” and “Fragments”,and he worked with several pop-rock bands,playing in clubs and festivals.
In summer 2004 he joined Damage Done,melodic nu metal band,taking part of I-TIM Tour.The band is selected,within 3000 demo cd’s,for taking part of it’s Rock TV contest together with other 107 band coming from all parts of Italy.So it comes the first leg of the contest,in Catanzaro(July the 9th),and Damage Done succeed and win the leg getting qualified for the final of September in Milan.After a short summer break, the band gets ready to perform in Piazza del Duomo in Milan (Sept, the 9th) for the Rock TV contest semifinal.Damage Done succeed and win the semifinal as well,se they get to the final(just 3 bands),and took the chance to perform in front of 10000 persons at night-time (awesome!).All the performances playd on Rock TV.
After shaving several experience with the italian national channel ROCK TV,they host “Database” and take part to the ROCK TV Tour,the band starts a two months tour throughout Italy.In January 2006 the bands enters the studio to record a new promo cd,”Framework”,mixed by Matteo Del Vecchio (from SAE in Milan) and mastered by Mauro Andreolli(Ligabue,Biagio Antonacci,Extrema).In the same period the band shoot a video for thei single “Thorns”,wich has gone often on the Rock TV rotation.
Beetween summer and autumn 2005 he wrote,arranged and produced a new solo cd,”Ena”.The opening track “Birth Of A Dancing Light” played on Radio Rock (Rome).
During 2006 he joined a collaboration with the music school Accademia Nova of Rome for a musication and soundtrack course,and studied strumentation,orchestration and orchestral leading with M°Silvano Frontalini.
In spring worked as session player for the italian pop band Città Giardino(Lead Records),contestants at the Sanremo festival 2006 final selections.
On February 2006 2006 he joined Roma Electric Orchestra as stable guitarists.This project is brought up and artistically supervised by M°Vittorio Nocenzi (Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso),directed by M°Claudio Micheli and supervised by M°Antonio Scarlato.Project promoted by Provincia di Roma.
In spring 2007 is a co-founder of The Elcetric Diorama;beetweenj May and August 2007 the band recorded it’s dubut album “Lifemale” at Fear Studios (in Ravenna),mastered by Mauro Andreolli (Ligabue,Biagio Antonacci,Extrema).The album is released on October 19th for Nerdsound Records/Ammmonia Records,distibuted by Edel.During summer they shooted their first video for the song “Oh Dear,Now I’m Sure,I Hate You”,being the most downloaded video on the promotion section on punkrockvids.com
This song will be also part of the soundtrack of the Italian National Parkour video documentary,sponsored by Adidas.
The band is going to shoot the new video the second single “Our Love Will Dry Out For Christmas”.
A support tour for “Lifemale” is taking place along Italy.
