Italian guitar maker Cloe and its new American distributor JT Musical Inc celebrated their first NAMM show in Anaheim, California this past January. Stefano Rofena, Luca Cesaroni and Daniele Cardoni owners of Cloe Guitars, joined Daniela Terragni and Scott Johnson of JT Musical Inc to introduce the custom series of Cloe electric guitars to American music stores and players from around the world.

Guitarists of all ages and musical tastes got a chance to sit down and play on any one of six models that were displayed at the world-famous trade show, which is open only to musical instrument dealers, distributors and manufacturers. “We received many complements on the quality and playability of the instruments and some people were surprised when told of their origin”, said Scott Johnson.

“It’s always quite exciting to be in a position of introducing a new brand to American dealers”, explains Johnson. “especially one as exceptional as Cloe guitars. They’re hand-made in Rome, Italy by a small group of dedicated and extremely talented artisans. Coming from the country that brought us the Stradivarius and the Maserati, I can tell you that Cloe brings that same intense passion to building their guitars. They literally allow their customers to create their own high-end boutique instrument based on a ‘menu’ that allows almost unlimited options. Dealers can offer their own special version to their customers as well as the end-consumer who can design their very own custom guitar.”

Of course, there was also the Disneyland Theme Park next door to the Anaheim Convention Center, but unfortunately there was just not enough time to visit and go on the rides. However, according to Johnson “we did get the chance to eat some great Bar-B-Q together and that was a good way to spend some time together!”
